Unpublishing your registries

Remove your registries from the NFH fabric, on either onboarding path.

To leave the NFH fabric, remove your published registries on whichever path you use.

If you are on dedi.global

  1. Unverify your namespace.

  2. Delete the namespace.

If you are file-based

  1. Remove the entries for the registries you're unpublishing from your DeDi index file's files list, re-sign, and republish the index.

  2. Delete the corresponding registry file(s) from your domain.

Keep the DeDi index file itself published — editing a registry out of it is what declares that registry removed. Deleting the index file (or a registry file) without first removing it from the index leaves the removal ambiguous: consumers may read the resulting unreachability as a temporary outage rather than an intentional deletion, and would only treat it as removed after the grace period below lapses.

There is a 1-day grace period before your registries are completely removed from the system.
